Our mission: make PC gaming great on non-Windows platforms.
We believe that an ecosystem dominated by a single platform holder is bad for games, customers, and developers. We also believe that the best way to counter this is through competition.
While there are excellent cross-platform technologies that try to solve this problem, players always pay a significant cost in performance, power usage, complicated configurations, fragile software, bugs, and sometimes even money.
But porting a Windows-native game to another platform takes time and expertise: two resources that most developers would rather put into making a great game.
Indie Orchard’s goal to make it as easy and affordable as possible for solo developers and small teams to bring native Mac and Linux support to their games. Andrusoft is a one-man company based in Prague, Czech Republic. Originally from California, Dan Andrus has over 10 years of professional software and video game development experience, and has always been passionate about gaming.
As a longtime gamer and programmer, Dan loves the development process and understands the technical requirements of multiplatform games.
